I have been a working photographer for nearly a decade now. How time flies! In all that time, much has changed, but one thing that has never changed is how much I enjoy being behind the camera.
Whether it is a quick set of portraits on the beach, or photographing your wedding, photography appeals to my artistic and technical sides. I love the challenge of a fast-paced environment, but I also enjoy seeing memories being shared and made. I'm a very sentimental person, and weddings always have a special place in my heart.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deal
This is my first time running this wedding photography discount, and it is an amazing one! 10% off all of the standard wedding photography packages that are booked between now and the end of the year.
Even more amazing is that on New Years Day, I will randomly select one lucky couple from those bookings, and they will owe nothing for their wedding photography. That's right... their balance will be forgiven!
My Approach To Wedding Photos
You hear the phrase "storyteller" being used a lot by wedding photographers. Every wedding has a story. A beginning, a middle, and an end. I really don't think it is all that hard to tell that story...
I think what is more challenging is capturing all the little details and candid moments. All those things that don't necessarily get a line on the wedding day schedule, but will bring a smile to your face when you are reminded of them. I create photographs to bring those memories to life again.
Wedding Photography Style
My style could best be described as a blend of photojournalistic/documentary and fine art wedding photography. I'm always watching what is going on so that I can be sure to catch those candid moments that will make you laugh, make you cry, and make you happy that someone was there to capture them.
I think that the traditional, posed formal photos are something that are expected at every wedding, and I'm happy to do them, but I focus on the real-life wedding experience. That's where the joy is.
Now Booking 2023-2024 Weddings
I have filled up all of my remaining 2022 wedding photography dates (although there is still some limited time for portraits).
If you are looking to book a wedding photographer for 2023, 2024, or beyond, now is a great time to start planning. I have open dates available and would love to speak with you about your wedding day photography needs. Even if you choose to go with another wedding photographer, you will gain some valuable insight and get some great advice to help you prepare for your special day.
2022 Fall Mini Sessions
The "Not-so-mini" mini
I still call them mini sessions, but they are anything but mini. Most photographers book mini sessions for 15-20 minutes, and you are rushed through, one family after another. Then you are forced to choose a handful of photographs to keep and pay extra for more.
I don't do that. A typical session with me will last 45 minutes to an hour. Maybe more if nobody is scheduled after you. This gives me time to get to know your family and to get the best possible family pictures. You will receive approximately 20 photos from your session, and if there are others that I think came out really nice, you'll get those too. No extra charges.
Families, couples, even solo! Portrait sessions
Any time is the right time for photo session. Maybe it has been awhile since the last time you had family photos taken (and maybe those were in a department store). It's time for an update.
Celebrating a special occasion and want some amazing photographs to remember it by? Let's do it.
Maybe you just want to have a "me" day. Some time where it is all about you. A confidence boost. Something for your social media. Not a problem. #bestphotosever
“When people look at my pictures, I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of a poem twice.”
I occasionally write articles for soon-to-be brides and grooms to help them learn more about my wedding photography services. There is a lot involved in planning a wedding, and I hope that some of these articles can help you to make informed decisions about your own wedding. There can be lots of questions about weddings and wedding photography that maybe you hadn't though about. For example, do you need a second shooter? Do you tip the vendors? How much time do I need for wedding photos?
If you have questions about wedding photography, or want to hire me as your Rhode Island or Massachusetts wedding photographer, be sure to contact me. If you would like to see an article about wedding photography (or weddings in general), let me know and I'd be happy to write one up for you.
